La Sofia e-shop: design, build and launch
Handmade jewellery from art resin, every piece exists only once. The task was to start selling fast and at a reasonable cost, prove that one-of-a-kind pieces sell online and collect data for the next step.

- Web design and store structure: categories by type of jewellery, new arrivals on the home page, a product card with one photo, guest checkout.
- PrestaShop 8 on the purchased Corano theme to launch quickly: Comgate and QR payments, Zásilkovna and PPL shipping, cash on delivery.
- Content and photos of 180 pieces, SEO basics, traffic measurement and the start of sales. A year of operation then showed what held the theme back and led to the redesign.
The brief
Every La Sofia piece is made one at a time, so the store has no variants or stock counts, but it has to show new arrivals fast and let customers buy in a few clicks. The first version was meant to test demand, not to be perfect.
What we did
- Web design. Home page with a hero slider and new arrivals, category tiles, product card and category listing with filters. The logo and gold as an accent lead the look.
- Building the store. PrestaShop 8 on the purchased Corano theme, categories, shipping (Zásilkovna, PPL), payments (Comgate, QR payment, cash on delivery), e-mails and terms.
- Content. Photos and descriptions of around 180 pieces, categories by type and stone, SEO basics and traffic measurement.
- Launch. Hosting on Plesk, monitoring and backups, handover of the admin to the owner.
What a year of operation showed
The store sold, but the purchased theme loaded five icon fonts and several jQuery plugins and was slow on mobile. Every change fought its code. That led to the second round: a new design, a custom theme and a move to our own server.
