Applications and internal tools

Off-the-shelf software ends where your real process begins. We build tools that fit it: from an internal admin through a control panel with alerts to an application used by thousands of people on tablets.

Prototype first. Clickable screens with real data show within days whether the design makes sense, before development money is spent. Then we build in short iterations, a working version every week. We choose the architecture by how long and at what volume the system has to run: an internal tool needs only Node.js and SQLite without a build step, a multi-tenant SaaS needs PostgreSQL, roles, encrypted tokens and an audit log. We treat security the same for a small tool as for a large one: OAuth instead of storing passwords, secrets outside the repository, every change signed and timestamped. That is how ClientDeck came about, a system in eight languages with verified Google and Meta integrations, and an exam-prep app with pen input and gamification.

What people ask most

When to build custom and when to buy?

Buy when your process matches what the software was written for and the licence does not hurt. Build when you bend an off-the-shelf tool with spreadsheets and exports, pay for features you do not use, or when the tool is part of what sets you apart from competitors. We will say so on the introductory call, even if the answer is “buy something ready-made”.

How do you make sure the app is still usable in a year?

We build on mainstream, long-supported technology (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL) with no exotic dependencies. The code is in a repository with documentation and tests, so anyone can pick it up. And we run most of the systems we built ourselves for years, so we know what hurts after a year.

Do you build mobile apps?

Web applications that work on phones and tablets, including pen input and offline mode. We do not build native apps for the App Store and Google Play; when needed, we recommend a partner.
